Rahas.lk is designed for secure, private communication and legitimate estate planning. We take misuse seriously and cooperate fully with Sri Lankan law enforcement when served with valid legal process.
Prohibited Content & Uses
It is strictly prohibited to use our service to create, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Non-consensual explicit imagery — commonly referred to as "Revenge Porn." This is a criminal offence under Sri Lankan law and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities.
- Threats of violence, doxxing, or targeted severe harassment of any individual.
- Stolen financial data, including credit card numbers, banking credentials, or identity documents obtained without consent.
- Malware, ransomware, or exploit code designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system.
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) of any kind. Zero tolerance; immediate reporting to the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) and law enforcement.
- Material that incites racial, religious, or ethnic hatred in violation of Sri Lankan law.
Enforcement Actions
Upon discovery of or credible report of prohibited use, Rahas.lk reserves the right to, without notice:
- Immediately terminate the offending user account.
- Permanently destroy the associated secret link and its encrypted payload from our servers.
- Cooperate with Sri Lankan law enforcement by providing IP access logs and account metadata (not vault contents) if served with a valid Sri Lankan court order.
- File a report with SLCERT or relevant authorities.
Reporting Abuse
If you have received a Rahas.lk link that you believe violates this policy, please take one of the following actions:
- Click the "Report Abuse" flag on the secret viewing page (if available).
- Forward the full link immediately to abuse@rahas.lk
While we cannot read the encrypted content of vault messages, we can immediately terminate the offending user's account and destroy the server link upon receiving a credible report. For law enforcement requests, contact abuse@rahas.lk with relevant case details.
Limitation of Responsibility
Due to the Zero-Knowledge architecture of Rahas.lk, we are technically unable to proactively review the encrypted content stored by users. This policy constitutes our best-effort commitment to respond to abuse reports promptly and cooperate with lawful legal process. We are not liable for content generated, stored, or transmitted by users in violation of this policy.
